Ingredients :-

200 grams button mushrooms.

1 cup all purpose flour.

1/4 cup cornflour.

2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste.

2 teaspoons soya sauce.

2 teaspoon chilli sauce.

1 teaspoon black pepper powder.

5-6 garlic cloves finely chopped .

1 inch ginger finely chopped.

2-3 green chillies finely chopped.

1/2 cup cubes of red and yellow capsicum.

Few finely chopped spring onion.



Salt to taste.

Procedure :-

  1. Wash mushrooms properly with water. Cut them into small bite size pieces. Keep them aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add all purpose flour, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder, 1 teaspoon soya sauce and salt to taste. Give it a good mix. Pour 3/4 cup water. Make a smooth batter. It should not be too thick nor too thin.
  3. Dip the mushroom pieces one by one in batter. Drop it in hot oil. Deep fry them till turns into brown color. Remove on kitchen towel. Like this deep fry all mushroom pieces.
  4. Now heat 2 tablespoons oil in a frying pan. Add finely chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies and spring onion in the same. Saute it for few seconds.
  5. Then add 1 teaspoon soya sauce and chilli sauce in it. Add chilli sauce that how much spicy you like to eat. Add canpsicum cube and fried mushrooms pieces. Give it a nice stir.
  6. Taste it. Adjust the level of salt in manchurian recipe.

Serving Method :-

Garnish mushroom manchurian recipe with finely chopped spring onion. Spread some schezwan sauce on top. Serve hot.

Notes :-

  1. We have used soya sauce here. Soya sauce is little bit salty in taste. So take care while adding salt.
  2. Choose fresh mushrooms.
