Preparation Time :- 10 minutes.

Cooking Time :- 45 minutes.

Servings :- 4.

Ingredients Of How To make Karanji Recipe :-

1 cup maida (all purpose flour).

2 tablespoons fine semolina.

1 bowl grated coconut.

Finely chopped almonds.

Finely chopped cashew nuts.

Raisins.

Finely chopped pistachios.

1/4 bowl powdered sugar.

Oil.

Water.

Salt.

Procedure :-
  1. Take a mixing bowl. Add 1 cup all purpose flour, 2 tablespoons fine semolina, salt to taste and 2 teaspoon oil. Mix it well. Add water and knead a dough properly. Cover dough with damp cloth. Keep it aside for 1/2 hour.
  2. Now let’s start making filling. Take a bowl. Add grated coconut, powdered sugar and all chopped dry fruits mentioned in ingredients. Mix it nicely. Keep it aside.
  3. Now take our dough covered with cloth and knead it for next 1 minutes till it become smooth. Make small balls out of it.
  4. From that balls take one ball. Cover the remaining balls with damp cloth. Roll that ball on rolling board. Shape it like puri. It should not be so thick not so thin.
  5. After making puri place 2 teaspoons our previously prepared filling on one side of puri. Fold another side of puri on top of the filling. Press edges gently with fingers and seal it properly.
  6. Cut little bit edges with ready made cutter available in market. (Cutter is used for designing purpose. It is up to you.)
  7. You can shape the karanji as shown in above picture.
Serving Method :-

Serve karanji stuffed with coconut as a diwali sweet for your guest.
