The pumpkin bread is a moist bread made with pumpkin puree. You can either use fresh pumpkin puree or canned pumpkin puree. It is usually baked in rectangular baking pan.

Pumpkin is rich source of fiber, vitamin and minerals. Fiber helps you to digest food efficiently. It prevents the body from cancer and offer immunity boost. Hence pumpkin puree plays an important role in person’s diet.

Our simple but healthy pumpkin bread recipe using pumpkin puree is given below. Give it a try at home. Serve with a cup of tea. Following is the detail procedure to make healthy pumpkin bread recipe. Read them carefully.

Ingredients :-

2 eggs.

1 cup powdered sugar.

1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour.

1/2 cup vegetable oil.

1 cup red pumpkin puree.

1 teaspoon cinnamon powder.

1 teaspoon clove powder.

1 teaspoon baking powder.

1/4 teaspoon baking soda.

1 teaspoon salt.

1/2 cup raisins.

Milk.

Rectangular baking tray.

Procedure :-

  1. Take one large mixing bowl. Crack 2 eggs into that bowl. Add 1 cup powdered sugar. Beat them together with a hand blender until it becomes fluffy.
  2. Add 1/2 cup vegetable oil in it. Give it a nice stir.
  3. Then add all purpose flour gently. Add all spices one by one. First add cinnamon powder then clove powder. Mix well with spatula.
  4. Now add baking powder, baking soda, salt and raisins. Mix all ingredients together.
  5. Finally add 1 cup pumpkin puree into that mixture. Stir it with spatula nicely. Use cut and fold method.
  6. Grease the rectangular shaped tray with oil. Dust it with flour. Pour batter into greased tray. Place that tray in preheated oven. Bake them at 250 degree celsius for next 20 minutes.

Serving Method :-

When pumpkin bread baked nicely remove them from oven. Allow it cool down completely. Serve pumpkin bread recipe with a cup of coffee. You can serve at tea time as well.

Note :- 

  1. Suppose batter becomes too thick then add little milk to get required consistency.
