Ingredients :-

250 grams all purpose flour (maida).

200 grams butter.

200 grams sugar.

3 eggs.

1 teaspoon baking powder.

1/2 teaspoon baking soda.



Cashew nuts.


Dried fig.


1 tablespoon lemon juice.


1 cup Whipped cream.

Cake tin.

Procedure :-

  1. Crack all eggs into a large mixing bowl. Blend them with electric blender for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Then add sugar (powdered sugar or whole sugar) into that egg mixture and again blend it nicely.
  3. Add butter and blend it for 5 minutes.
  4. When our mixture blended properly then add all purpose flour (maida). Mix it well with the spatula. Use cut and fold method to mix.
  5. Finally add baking powder and  baking soda.
  6. Take all the fruits (mentioned in ingredients) into a bowl. Add flour (maida), lemon juice into it. Gently mix with spoon.
  7. Then add all these fruits into cake mixture. Give it a nice stir.
  8. Now our cake batter is ready to pour into cake tin. Before that apply some butter from inside the tin. Sprinkle some all purpose flour into tin. Then pour cake batter into greased cake tin. Tap it little bit.
  9. Bake the fruit cake in preheated oven at 180 degree celsius for 35 minutes. After 35 minutes remove cake tin from oven. Let it cool down completely. Insert a toothpick in middle of the cake and it comes out clean then our cake is ready.
  10. Add 1 large cup whipped cream in a mixing bowl. Add some granulated sugar into cream. Beat them with electric blender until it becomes fluffy. Use it for cake frosting. Cover cake with blended cream. Arrange strawberries on top of the cake for decoration.

Serving Method:-

Cut the fruit cake into pieces. Arrange them in  a serving dish. Serve delicious Fruit Cake with a cup of tea.
