Ingredients :-

200 gram all purpose flour.

200 gram butter.

200 gram sugar.

3 eggs.

1 teaspoon baking powder.

1/2 teaspoon baking soda.

2 tablespoons chopped cashews.

2 tablespoons chopped almonds.

2 tablespoons chopped dried fig.

2 tablespoons chopped cranberries.

2 tablespoons chopped walnuts.

3 tablespoons raisins.

3 tablespoons truti fruti.

3 tablespoons seedless and chopped dates.

1 teaspoon nutmeg powder.

1/4 cup rum.

Cake tin.

Procedure :-

  1. First of all add raisins and rum into a bowl. Soak them for 2 hours. Keep it aside.
  2. Take one large mixing bowl. Crack two eggs into that bowl. Add sugar into the same bowl. Beat it nicely with blender until all sugar crystals get dissolve.
  3. Now add butter into same bowl. Again beat it properly until mixture becomes fluffy.
  4. Take a strainer. Add all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and nutmeg powder. Sift in a bowl.
  5. Add all these dry ingredients into egg mixture. Mix it gently with spatula.
  6. Take all chopped fruits into a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon all purpose flour on fruits. Mix it with spoon. Due to this fruits will not settle down in cake batter.
  7. Add soaked raisins into cake batter. Give it a nice stir.
  8. Apply some butter from inside the cake tin. Sprinkle some flour. Pour cake batter into greased cake tin. Spread cake batter evenly into cake tin. Tap it little bit.
  9. Bake christmas cake recipe at 180 degree celsius for 35 minutes.
  10. After 35 minutes remove it from oven. Let it cool down. Insert a toothpick in center of the cake. The toothpick is comes out clean then our cake is ready to serve.

Serving Method :-

Serve delicious christmas cake recipe with a cup of tea or coffee.

Note :-

  1. If you are not comfortable with rum then use fresh orange juice. But soak all chopped fruits in orange juice for whole night.
